Alma M. Crispell, 95, of Red Hook, passed away on Wednesday, January 11th, 2012 at the Thompson House in Rhinebeck.
For many years, Alma, along with her family, were the owner’s and operator’s of Fishbach Bakery in Jersey City, NJ.
Alma was a member of Third Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rhinebeck, the
Red Hook and Southern Tier Seniors, the Christian Women’s Society, and a former Secretary for SEEKS, a organization for the visually impaired in Kingston.
Born on March 4, 1916, in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine (Pizziak) Fishbach.
Alma married Vernon Crispell and he predeceased her in May 1995.
She is survived by her loving family, including two sons; Dennis Frankle and his wife Linda of Red Hook, and William Frankle and his wife Gaile of Wharten, NJ, a daughter; Diane Covals and her husband John of Scottsdale, AZ, thirteen grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son; Robert Frankle, a granddaughter; Jacqueline Covals, and two sisters; Dorothy Cooper, and Katherine Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 14th, 2012 at St. John’s Reformed Church, Upper Red Hook. The Rev. Le Roy T. Ness will officiate. Burial will be at St. John’s Reformed Church Cemetery, Red Hook.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Friday from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM.
