Rose Marie Borromeo, 81, of Hudson and a former longtime resident of Red Hook, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Community Hospice at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson, surrounded by her daughters and grandchildren.
For many years she was the owner and proprietor of Rock City Antiques in Red Hook.
Born on June 15, 1930, in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Benvenuta) Spizzuoco.
Rose married Anthony Valentino Borromeo, Sr on September 28, 1947 in NYC and he predeceased her on April 8, 2011
She is survived by two daughters: Elaine Farris and her husband Gregg of Staatsburg, and Mary Jo Borromeo of East Greenbush, NY, four grandchildren; Cherie Anne (Gorrow) Thomason and her husband Michael, John A. Gorrow, Mackenzie E. Farris, and Natalie M. (Cutrone) Thomason and her husband Brandon, and two great grandchildren; Katherine Solomon, and William Thomason.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son; Anthony V. Borromeo, Jr.
Service will be private and interment will be in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.
