Central Hudson’s Home Energy Saver program

Learn more about Central Hudson’s Home Energy Saver program at an Open House on Tuesday, August 2, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Red Hook Town Hall (7340 South Broadway, Red Hook).

This event is open to both enrolled participants and interested residents, and will review the program highlights together with the installation and use of the Home Energy Saver smart thermostat and equipment, and the on-line energy management website. Come at your convenience, and stay for as long as you’d like.

Central Hudson’s Home Energy Saver program is a smart grid pilot project designed to help residents and small business owners use energy more efficiently and reduce overall load when electric demand is highest. Central Hudson, the Town of Red Hook, the Village of Red Hook and the Village of Tivoli are working together to introduce this innovative program first to the Red Hook area. Participants should have a central air conditioning system, or alternatively an electric water heater and another large electrically operated device, such as a swimming pool pump.

As a show of appreciation, enrolled and participating residents will receive a $25 gift card to a local restaurant and a chance to win a 42-inch Energy Star flat screen television.

For more information on the Home Energy Saver program or to enroll, visit http://www.CentralHudson.com/HomeEnergySaver, or call (845) 452-2700. We hope to see you at the open house on Tuesday.
