Joint investigation yields marijuana arrests

An investigation into the report of drug sales to Red Hook youths resulted in the arrest of two Town of Red Hook men.

The Red Hook Police have reported the arrest of two men for Criminal Sale of Marijuana in the fourth degree. The two men, aged 20 and 19, were the subjects of a joint investigation conducted by the Red Hook Police Department and the Dutchess County Drug Task Force.

The investigation stemmed from reports of the pair conducting sales of marijuana to local youths in the Village and Town of Red Hook. Both defendants were subsequently released on appearance tickets to appear in the Village of Red Hook Justice Court on July 20th.

Additional charges may follow depending on the action of the Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office.
