California woman arrested after CIA incident

49, of Yuba City, Calif., was arrested July 24 in Hyde Park and charged with burglary and robbery, both felonies, as well as unlawful imprisonment and petty larceny, both misdemeanors, and harassment, a violation, for a reported robbery at the Culinary Institute of America, according to a Hyde Park Police report. Police were dispatched to the CIA, where the victim alleged that came to her dormitory in order to retrieve money owed to a third party. The victim said she reportedly attempted to close the door, but then allegedly forced her way into the room and physically and verbally threatened physical harm unless the victim gave her $50, the police report said. She then allegedly stole the money from the victim and left. The victim sustained minor injuries. was arraigned and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond bail.
