The weather dampened down the Red Hook Men’s Basketball Summer League in the last two weeks, but the court action was anything but foul.
In the A-League, Bard Alumni edged Arlington, 49-45. Frank Stortini led all scorers with 25 for Bard. Hawks, of Rhinebeck, eked out a win over Arlington, 56-50, behind Corey Van Wagner’s 18 points.
In the B/C Division, Colonial Subaru, from Kingston, had a solid two weeks, collecting three wins. Chris Colarusso and Spencer Dalzell, as well as George Donahue of Landworks, each had 17 points in a 61-44 Subaru win over Landworks of Red Hook. Colarusso also led in scoring with 12 in a 47-36 win over Matt’s Auto Body, based out of Salt Point. Subaru next beat Christina’s Pizza 64-60 in overtime, with John Bixby putting up 23 for Christina’s.
Matt Parr Insurance, from Red Hook, beat Germantown, 55-53, led in scoring by Paddy Parr with 20. Parr also beat Christina’s Pizza, 74-47, with John Bixby scoring 24 for Christina’s. Village Pizza, from Red Hook, split their games: they beating the Raiders, 49-44, in a game led in scoring by Raiders’ Tucker Griffen with 24, and they lost to Landworks, 46-35, with Landworks’ George Donahue scoring 18 points.
Ryan McCann Insurance, of Red Hook, fell to BFAS, 39-36, with the scoring led by Jesse Smith of McCann with 16. Spectrum Graphics beat McCann 35-25, in a game in which Demetrious Holden put up 11 points for Spectrum. Spectrum fell to Raiders, 50-44 in a game led by Raiders’ Beau Smith’s 13 points.
Germantown throttled Thruway Nissan, based out of Kingston, 63-37, with Germantown’s Dan Thomas leading with 17. Nissan then beat Matt’s Auto Body, 47-42.
