Red Hook Village officials offer briefing on water project

Village of Red Hook officials are offering residents a detailed report on the planned water system improvements.

At their July 14 meeting, Mayor Ed Blundell and the village board will outline the improvements planned in Phase 2 of the upgrade project. The meeting starts at 7pm.

The village has received preliminary approval and funding estimates from the USDA, and the board has studied conditions and repair costs before approving the project.

The village began its water system improvement with the Phase 1 work last summer, which included well field modernizations, well re-conditioning, new meters, back-up generator capacity and security measures.
