Multiple charges for Germantown man in Red Hook incident

, 58, of Germantown, was arrested June 7 in the Town of Red Hook and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a felony; driving while intoxicated, unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, and resisting arrest, all misdemeanors, as well as several traffic infractions, according to a Red Hook Police report. Officers reportedly attempted to stop for driving with switched license plates, but he failed to comply and fled north on Route 9G, the police report said. State Police assisted the Red Hook Police Department, and the vehicle was eventually stopped in Germantown, where was reportedly found to be intoxicated and physically resisted arrest. He was arraigned and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $10,000 bail.
