Hyde Park man charged with car theft, felony DWI

, 44, of Hyde Park, was arrested March 8 in Hyde Park and charged with third-degree grand larceny, a felony, and criminal possession of stolen property of greater than $3,000. He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher with two prior convictions and driving while intoxicated with a previous conviction within the last 10 years, both felonies, according to Hyde Park Police and State Police reports. was first arrested by State Police on the driving charges. Then Hyde Park police, investigating a report of a stolen vehicle at Darby O’Gills, found the missing vehicle in the Hyde Park Mall parking lot and subsequently discovered that State Police had already arrested the driver, the reports said. was arraigned in Hyde Park Justice Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $2,500 cash or $5,000 bail bond.
