Hyde Park man gets felony charges after domestic dispute

20, of Hyde Park, was arrested Nov. 5 in the City of Poughkeepsie and charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense, both felonies, and second-degree harassment, a violation, according to a Hyde Park Police report. The report stated that Hyde Park Police investigated a 911 call on Oct. 28 involving a domestic dispute in which the man fled the scene and the woman stated she had an altercation with her ex-boyfriend, who pushed her to the ground. At the time, there was a court-issued order of protection in place. City of Poughkeepsie Police located took him into custody and turned him over to Hyde Park police. He was arraigned in Hyde Park court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $25,000 cash or bail bond.
