I have been a resident of Dutchess County for over 20 years now, and in the town of Clinton for 10. I have seen all sorts of county legislators come and go. Over the years, I have watched Joel Tyner work tirelessly for the people of his district and all the people of Dutchess County, and I highly endorse him for re-election as County Legislator. Joel is truly a rare man whose level of dedication, commitment, and effort is not often seen in today’s politicians.
During his 10 years as a legislator, Joel has accomplished much, and will continue to do so. He has worked on a wide range of issues and needs expressed by residents including: launching the Clinton Senior Neighborhood Network; securing funding for the Thompson-Mazarella Park; developing a Dutchess County version of SolarizeNewYork.org; initiating energy audits of county buildings; developing a municipal health insurance consortium in the county; putting out an on-line county budget survey, begun in 2012; securing a new county historian; and much more.
During this time frame, Joel has conducted monthly forums and has been very accessible to his constituents, always willing to listen and really hear what they are saying.
In these bad economic times, we need Joel Tyner as our representative — he truly works “for us.”
