We’d like very much to add our names to the list of Milan cell tower supporters by way of relating an incident that took place in 2009 on Willow Glen Road.
While out for a stroll one lovely February day a scant quarter mile from our home, we noticed, with horror, a large plume of thick black smoke immediately over our neighbor’s house. In an instant, we knew the house was on fire.
We immediately tried to call “911” and the Milan Fire Company. Alas, we didn’t (and still don’t), have cell service in our part of the town. The resulting delay in emergency responders arriving may be found on the Milan Fire Company’s website.
The time to move forward on the cell tower issue is long overdue.
