Affordable Care Act session set at Red Hook Firehouse

If you are confused by the New York State Health Exchange options now available under the Affordable Care Act, don’t feel alone.

You can learn more about how the new health care law will affect you on Wed., Oct. 16 at 5:30pm at the Red Hook Firehouse. A non-profit organization will be on hand to explain the NYS Health Exchange, the Affordable Care Act, where to find enrollment sites, what tax credits and cost-sharing reductions are available, and how the law impacts Medicaid.

The meeting is sponsored by the Red Hook Public Library, which is also offering free individual sessions for residents wanting to sign up for the various health plans. These are private sessions on Sat., Oct. 26; call 1-800-453-4666 to schedule an appointment.
