, 24, of Red Hook was arrested on July 8 at 10:18am in the village of Rhinebeck and charged with driving while under the influence of drugs and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, as well as harassment in the second degree, a violation, according to State Police.
According to a state police report, Rhinebeck police were attempting to investigate a suspicious person complaint near the Dutchess County Fairgrounds and called state police to assist when the suspect appeared uncooperative and resisted arrest.
In an attempt to place him in custody, a state trooper used a Taser stun gun and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident, the police report said.
was arraigned in Hyde Park Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $2,500 cash bail.
Three days later, was arrested again, this time in Red Hook at 3:15 pm, according to a Red Hook police report.
The report said Red Hook police had received a complaint on July 8 of damage to a religious statue and a sign in front of St. Christopher’s Church on South Broadway in the Village of Red Hook. Police investigated and, using evidence collected at the crime scene and tips from the public, arrested on July 11 and charged him with two counts of criminal mischief, both felonies, according to the police report.
He was processed and remanded to Dutchess County Jail on $5,000 cash bail.
