, 35, of Milan, was arrested April 27 after an incident involving a shotgun being fired during a reported domestic dispute.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies and state police were sent to a Milan residence at 12:10 am following a report of a domestic dispute, possibly involving a firearm.
Upon arrival, a sheriff’s office news release said, the suspect had left the residence on foot and it was unknown if he was armed. A Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit was deployed, and the suspect was located close to the scene and taken into custody without incident. Further investigation revealed that he had allegedly menaced another person with a shotgun, before firing two rounds through the kitchen ceiling. No one was injured and the shotgun was recovered at the scene.
was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and second-degree menacing and reckless endangerment, both misdemeanors. He was arraigned in the Town of Milan court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
