Rhinebeck man charged with DWI after two-car accident injures 4

, 29, of Rhinebeck, was arrested on Feb. 14 at 7:15pm and charged with drunk driving, a misdemeanor, following a two-car accident that injured a family of four at the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge approach in Rhinebeck, according to a state police report.

The accident occurred, the police said, when , heading north on Route 9G, attempted a left turn onto the bridge approach on Route 199, failed to yield right-of-way to oncoming traffic and caused a nearly head-on collision with a vehicle carrying a family of four. The family were all transported to Northern Dutchess Hospital with minor injuries and later released, according to the report.

State police say refused medical treatment, was evaluated at the scene by emergency personnel and arrested by troopers investigating the accident. He was processed and released with tickets to appear in court at a later date.
