Sebastion Almonte as Wally Webb

The Red Hook Performing Arts Clubs will present Thornton Wilder’s masterpiece, “Our Town,” to celebrate Red Hook’s Bicentennial. “’Our Town’ will stir your imagination and send you out deeply touched,” says the director, Deborah Temple. “It’s a play that whispers to us the urgent necessity of living in the here-and-now, which is all anybody in Grover’s Corners ever had — all anybody anywhere really has.”

“In this production, we see that Wilder sought to make sacraments of simple things,” she adds.

Local residents make up the cast and crew, including Steven Austin Young as the narrator, the Stage Manager; Templeton Kay as George Gibbs, and Cara Search as Emily Webb.

Performances will be held Sept. 14 and 15 at 7:30p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, (utilizing adjacent graveyard), at 7412 South Broadway, Red Hook.

A suggested donation of $5 will be accepted at the door.
