Albert H. Hackbarth, 53, of Hurley, won his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, August 21st, 2012 at the Benedictine Hospital in Kingston.
For many years Albert worked as an inventory manager with Chelsea Modular Homes in Marlboro. Albert was an avid NASCAR fan; his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt, Jr and the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr.
Born on April 14th, 1959, in Rhinebeck, NY, he was the son of the late Albert H and Mary Elizabeth (Stout) Hackbarth. Albert and his family grew up in Red Hook and he graduated from Drury High School in North Adams, MA
Albert enjoyed and had great love for his family, which includes his four sisters; Karen (Pete) Paluso of Red Hook, Debi (Frank) MaGuire of Hudson, Jane Hackbarth of Bristol, PA, and Susan (Shawn) Mulligan of Cooperstown, along with four nieces, two nephews, and five cousins.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 4 to 7 pm. At 7:00 pm a memorial service will be held. Interment will be private.
