Setback reduced for new Daisy Lane home

Corinna Parker received a reduced front yard setback of 60 feet, from the usual 100 feet, in order to construct a single family home on a flag lot on Daisy Lane, a private road on Route 308 just west of the Route 199 intersection.

The application was made because of the site topography, sewage disposal options and a desire for open space in the lot, issues that the applicant felt would be resolved by the variance. There was no opposition to the project by neighbors, with one letter of support received by the Rhinebeck Zoning Board of Appeals.

The board voted unanimously to grant the variance, on the grounds that there would be no negative impact to the area.
