Summer hoops underway in the Hook

Raiders hoop isn’t the only basketball action in Red Hook. Actually, the Hook plays host to one of the flyest summer leagues in all of Dutchess County. The Red Hook Summer League, headed by Kevin Moul, attracts players from all over the area. The Observer will begin to run Summer League scores starting right now. Here’s the condensed round up:

Charlie O’s and Village Pizza both have two wins in the C Division. Charlie O’s beat Colonial Subaru 44-42 and Broadway Pizza 43-39 – Charlie O’s’ Bishmi Allah led all scorers in both games with 14 and 26, respectively. Village Pizza beat ARP 37-30 and Landworks 51-37. Village Pizza’s Bill Diedrick led all scorers in both games with 13 and 15, respectively.

Young Guns has two wins in the B Division, one was a 60-52 win over Matt Parr and the other a 62-30 romp over BFAS. Young Guns’ Dylan McClusters led with 30 against BFAS and teammate Steve Clark led with 16 over Matt Parr. MHS Construction has also collected a pair of victories in the B Division after beating Ryan McCann 48-30 and Johnny O’s by a score of 41-35.

And in the A Division, “The Show”, A+ Heating has two wins, one a 62-41 rout Rooney+Klawson Contractors, and the other in a 56-37 defeat of Slinger. Dan Totten led both games with 19 and 20 points, respectively.
