Lynne Sandra Brown Coons, 68, of Hudson and a former Red Hook resident, died Tuesday, June 19th, 2012 at her home.
Born on February 23rd, 1944, in Flushing, NY, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Mary (Lown) Brown. She attended Red Hook Schools and began her career as a hairdresser at Johnny’s Salon in Newburgh. She also worked for many years as a home health aide for Inter-County Homecare based in Hudson. Prior to her retirement she worked for the Red Hook Central Schools.
Lynne enjoyed embroidery, traveling and country/western music.
Lynne married Arthur Coons and he predeceased her.
She is survived by her son, Albert C. Tack III and his wife Edith Van Pelt Tack of Wichita, KS, a foster sister, Betty Coons of Hudson, and several other foster sisters, foster brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook. The Rev. Eric Titus will be officiating. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Homes on Friday from 6-8 PM.
