Nicholas F. Lovecchio, born in Brooklyn, NY on Apr. 6, 1920, departed on May 28, 2012.
Nick was the father of James Lovecchio and his wife Susan of Ringwood, NJ, John Lovecchio and his wife Colleen of Imperial, CA and Lisa Gilman of Red Hook, NY. He was a very loving and encouraging Grandfather of eight Grandchildren and two Great Grandchildren. He is pre-deceased by his loving wife Lynn Lovecchio.
Nick was an engineer by trade and worked on bomb sight calibration and repair during WW II. He was very handy with his hands and loved building and fixing things but most of all he loved helping people. He was very active in numerous choirs and loved to sing and laugh with friends and family alike. Nick was a very patient, kind and wise individual who constantly provided stability to his family on multiple levels. Nick was a devout Christian who worshiped at different Lutheran churches throughout his long life. His prayer life and his character live on as shining examples of what we are to be as Christian brothers and sisters. Nick was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by every life he touched.
A graveside service will be held at a time to be announced, on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Farmingdale (Long Island), NY.
