Gail E. Harrison, 88, a longtime Red Hook resident, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Ferncliff Nursing Home in Rhinebeck.
For many years and until her retirement in 1987, Gail worked as a dietician and cook for the Red Hook Central Schools.
Gail was a longtime member of Christ Church in Red Hook.
Born on March 28, 1924, in Frackville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Susannah White Beecroft.
Gail married George D. Harrison on October 1, 1948 in Church of the Holy Communion in New York City and George predeceased her on June 24, 2007.
She is survived by a son and daughter in law; David G. (Barbara) Harrison of Islip Terrace, NY, a granddaughter; Samantha Harrison of Islip Terrace, NY, a grandson; Ross Harrison of Islip Terrace, NY, and a great grandson; Liam Harrison.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son; William Harrison in 2003.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Christ Church, Red Hook, NY. The Rev. Ryan Lesh will officiate. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.
Calling hours will be private.
